The annual Seamus Reilly tournament took place last Saturday with a winner takes all game v Carnanross / Moynalty on what was a cold crisp afternoon for football. Erins Isle from Dublin had also been invited but due to their club been 100 years old they had to withdraw at the last minute due to celebrations. Kieran O Riordan had the team well prepared for the challenge and a proper team talk before Dunshaughlin took to the field laid the foundation for this victory and from the moment the ball was thrown in determination was very obvious from the team in black & amber. Royal Gaels are seeking applications for a Manager/Management Team for our Senior Ladies Team for 2018. This team won the Intermediate Championship in 2016 and were very competitive in the Senior Championship  this year, getting to a semi final and taking the current champions into extra time to separate the teams. 30 Sep | Jimmy Walsh RIP

Sadly, yesterday evening we learned of the sudden and very sad passing of Jimmy Walsh, affectionately known as "The Dosser”. Jimmy was a member of of the 1967 All Ireland winning Meath panel when he was playing club football with Drumree. He won three Leinster senior football championships with Meath in 1964, 1966 and 1967.  Prior to that he had captained Meath to Junior All-Ireland glory in 1962.
