Club Development

Dunshaughlin GAA club needs your support for a modern clubhouse facility for the current & future generations of your community. This is a real Investment in your family’s future.

Currently the club caters for over 20 juvenile boys and girls teams and adult men’s and ladies teams up to senior level. Dunshaughlin GAA promotes a strong family ethos and is constantly expanding and developing both on and off the field.

The club has evolved to provide a range of activities for all family members from the
children’s nursery for children of 5 years upwards to Gaelic4Mothers and others and Gaelic for Men over 35.

The current clubhouse was built in 1988 and no longer meets the basic needs placed on it. In light of this, there is a need to future proof the expansion of our GAA club with a functional clubhouse to cater for all ages and gender alike.

The overall development is circa 8,000 Square Foot, and will include six dressing rooms; shower cubicles for ladies football;  referees room; maintenance/store room and plant room on the ground floor; secretary room; club/function room which will be sub-divided in two by way of folding partition to cater for multiple club meetings; male/female toilets; and gym facilities.

The location of the clubhouse will be on the current clubhouse site, adjacent to the Astro and two full size grass pitches. Building is estimated to start May/June 2014 with a target finish of Quarter 1 2015. But this will not be possible without your help.

Over the next few weeks, Dunshaughlin GAA will be releasing several fundraising videos, to show just how important this develpment will be for the community.

Here is our leading Fundraising Video, ‘Welcome to Dunshaughlin GAA’. Wiuth thanks to all who contributed their time and help for the production of this. Please share on Facebook, Tweet on Twitter and let everyone know about it!!!

In order to secure a Sports Capital Grant of €145,000, which was awarded to the club in January 2013 (and which the club has two years to use grant or it will be lost), the club must generate the remaining funding to complete the clubhouse. The total clubhouse redevelopment will cost €600k. For us to turn a sod, we need to raise €215k, or risk losing the grant.
