Leinster u15 league

Our under 15 team looked like they had this Leinster League game against Celbridge done and dusted at half time after playing into the breeze and leading 3-5 (14) to 0-3.  Celbridge started well and were up 2 points to no score after 5 minutes but only managed 1 point for the rest of the half. Ruairi Kinsella scored 2-2 of  that first half tally.

Dunshaughlin were dominant in every sector and were well deserving of their 11 point half time lead. That all changed during a seven minute spell in the 2nd half as  the Kildare boys hit 3 goals and 2 points between the 6th minute and 13th minute. Dunshaughlin fought hard to regain the lead and after having fallen 4 points behind late in the half managed to pull it back to 1 at the final whistle.

Dunshaughlin had actually started the 2nd half very well with a fantastic long range point from Conor Gray, but then went 20 minutes without scoring.

It is early in the season and the boys learned a valuable lesson, stay focused throughout because if you switch off even for a short while the damage can be devastating. Every member of the panel played and for long periods especially in the first half  the boys were exceptional as they terrorised the Celbridge defence. Our next game is scheduled for Saturday week at home against Tullamore.

The Dunshaughlin team: Cian Edwards, Jared Rushe, Donagh Mc Carrick, Jack Nestor, Fursey Blake (1-0),  Oliver McEnroe, Dylan McKenna, Conor Gray (0-2), Calum Deehan (0-1), Charlie O’ Connor,  Ruairi Kinsella (2-3), Joseph Dunne (0-3), Jack O’ Riordan, Chris Pullen, Kyle O’ Connor, Alex Arkins Flinter, John Muldoon & Thomas Boyle
