Full time : Duleek/Bellewstown 6-10 (28) Dunshaughlin 5-13 (28) Draw

Half time :Duleek/Bellewstown 3-4 (13) Dunshaughlin 3-8 (17)

Dunshaughlin’s final Under 16 Div 1 league game was away to Duleek/Bellewstown ended all square. Dunshaughlin led by 4 points at half time 3-8 to 3-4.  Dunshaughlin had started very well and had scored 2-3 after 8 minutes but let Duleek/Bellewstown back into it and were only ahead by one point coming up to half time but a Ruairi Kinsella goal stretched the lead back to four points at the break. Kinsella and John McDonagh scored the other two Dunshaughlin first half goals. There was a nasty incident in the first half when Kyle O’ Connor was hit off the ball.

Dunshaughlin’s first score of the 2nd half was a beautiful move when Fursey Blake won the ball on his own half back line and gave a long kick pass to midfield to Aaron who in turn gave a long pass into John McDonagh who kicked into the net on a one on one with goalkeeper. Our other 2nd half goal came from substitution Eoin Gorman.

Dunshaughlin lost John McDonagh to a black card with 10 minutes remaining and were still were ahead by 6 points with five minutes remaining but  then lost a 2nd player (Fursey Blake)to a black card and conceded 2 goals and by the 3rd minute of injury time Duleek/Bellewstown scored the equalizing point.

After the final whistle was blown it was very disappointing to see the conduct of some Duleek players and in particular two players strike and kick two Dunshaughlin players.
